Holding On To The Past

Forget nothing that happened before
Believe solely in revenge
Forgive no one for their mistakes
Torture the future
With hate of the past
And never allow yourself to be free
Dwell in only the bad
Pretend the good never happened
And expect only the worst of each day to come
Turn your back on imagination
And on childish dreams
Live strictly in reality
For wishes are for fools
Don’t be happy with what you have
And find all things wrong with what you do
Never look on the bright side
For that’s just delusion
Repeat you’re doomed to be unhappy
Then ask yourself why
Contemplate who’s really living in delusions
And who’s really free
